Healthy Communities

Program goal: To improve equity in maternal and child health, reduce risks to human health, promote healthy lifestyles and respond to health determinants.

The Healthy Communities Program is based on ChildFund Viet Nam’s Country Strategic Paper (2016-2020) and is based on the experience of implementing health projects in Hoa Binh, Cao Bang and Bac Kan over the past 20 years. ChildFund in Viet Nam has been striving to implement health interventions that significantly improve the health and well-being of the community and change the lives of poor children in shared settings.

In support of the Healthy Communities Program development, ChildFund Viet Nam will develop and implement interventions aiming at:

  • Enhancing the availability and quality of maternal and child health services
  • Improving water quality in the households and schools
  • Improving sanitation in the households
  • Promoting community pioneer in positive health behavior.
