Sport event for children and young people in the rural areas

On Sunday (28/10/2018), the rugby competition under the framework of the Sport for Development – ChildFund Pass It Back has been held successfully in Kim Boi district, Hoa Binh province with the participation of nearly 1.500 children and young people.

Excitedly and fiercely 108 group-stage matches, 24 semi-finals and a final take place with the participation of 70 teams from 10 communes in Kim Boi district, Hoa Binh province.

The participants are children from 11 to 16 years old, with 59% were female.

Before every match, each team play together in the life skills tent 

and listen to coach's advices on strategy and team spirit

The fans watch enthusiastically and cheer for every teams

This sport event actualise the goal of Sport for Development – ChildFund Pass it Back, which is creating a quality playground and promoting child’s rights to play in the area.

ChildFund Pass It Back is an innovative sport for development program led by ChildFund in partnership with World Rugby, Asia Rugby and Women Win that delivers an integrated life skills and rugby curriculum for children and young people in disadvantaged communities across Asia.
