Success stories
Women in Ngoc Dong commune, Cao Bang province are enjoying the first fruits of their labour following the Credit and Savings scheme implemented by ChildFund Vietnam and the Ngoc Dong commune women’s union in 2011. The project works with women to develop livelihood opportunities to overcome poverty.
Studies have demonstrated that reading to children has many positive effects. Reading books not only helps children to widen their knowledge about the world but also develop their language skills, their imagination and dreams. These are some of the targets of ChildFund’s project to give children better access to reading resources.

Early in June 2013, thanks to the support from TOMS and ChildFund in Vietnam, children in 26 ChildFund project communes in Hoa Binh, Cao Bang and Bac Kan provinces received new shoes for their own.
On the occasion of the lunar new year, more than 400 warm jackets have been delivered to pre-school and primary school children in Cu Le commune, Bac  Kan province thanks to support from the ChildFund sponsorship program. More than 8000 children in 13 project communes in Hoa Binh and Bac Kan province have also been given winter gift such as warm jackets, woolen gloves and hats.
